Dr Martin has been a Reader in the School of Computing and Engineering at the University of Huddersfield since 2022. He gained is PhD in Optical Metrology from the University of Huddersfield in 2010. Haydn is a member of the Centre for Precision Technologies (CPT) and a co-investigator for the EPSRC Future Metrology Hub for Sustainable Manufacturing. His main research interests are in the fields of applied optics and manufacturing metrology where he concentrates on the development of novel optical sensing techniques aimed primarily at high/ultra-precision manufacturing platforms.
